A small group of Reds blocked the office of the NAAC yesterday and a Monk was mistaken as a Red shirt in Kalasin when he said something about the PRDC beating a man. I would think Kalasin would en UDD territory.

UDD restates is stance a to an appointed P.M. and name nine possible candidates the PRDC have in mind.

by allowing the PRDC to "peacefully" demonstrate and actively block government offices, businesses, and indeed election polling places the government has set the precedents to allow the UDD and affiliated groups to do the same. The courts' emasculation of the Emergency Decree just made it worse.. The "fortress" Lumpini Park demonstration with its acknowledged 2,000 plus "guards" ringed by the military's protective "bunkers" as an example of free expression are laughable... Subtract the guards and how many camping protesters from the south are actually left there??

It would appear now that the UDD is using off shoot organizations, to protest. The group yesterday was the CRD. They had a verbal confrontation with PRDC protestors. The PRDC retreated. Ya once that decision was made not much authorities can do.

Interesting today the Bangkok Post is saying the Red Shirts attacked the monk yesterday, not the the PRDC. Not a t retraction, just a different article.

In think they never said that the PRDC did, Bump. The article mentioned the PRDG (People’s Radio for Democracy Group).

That's very possible, old age you know.
It would appear the senate election last Sunday could be very important, if Yingluk is charged.

The Saturday rally will not be huge. The "daily" marches this week via a circular route from and back to Lumpini Park were composed of straggling groups of folks primarily walking down the sidewalks with a loudspeaker "leader" truck on the road..
The UDD doesn't have the strength it had several years ago nor the political clout to turn out 100,000 protesters.. It is questionable if its principal financial backers are willing to dump millions of baht to spin up mass rallies any more.
The more important thing coming up is the Senatorial elections occurring on Sunday the 30th..
The "early" voting last Sunday for the Senate elections was a flop with a very poor turn out for the estimate 2 million who'd registered for early voting...

My wife got her notice yesterday, this time we are going.
If you follow the drift of the news release a low turn out by PRDC, will mean a march on April 5 but the UDD
I noticed today that the Senate has requested the E.C. not to fund the CAPO.
You know just few more initials, and I'm giving up

The newly-established community radio station of the redshirt supporters of the caretaker government came under heavy attack by gunmen wielding assault rifles before dawn today.
Security guards at the station on the Mae Sot-Tak road in Tak province returned fire with the assailants. In a 10-minute exchange of gunfire, the attackers escaped in darkness.

Wonder what would happen if they ran this survey on Issan. Running the survey only in Bangkok, som4onm is just not getting the picture. Bangkok is only a part of Thailand. Stuff like this just adds to the divide.

It would seem the people of Bangkok just don't get it. This suggestion is going to cause more problems then it solves. The answer is to accept the vote of the people. learn to campaign better. It's no wonder the Democrats can't win an election. They understand the city but not the country.

Following the political situation here is akin to following the search for the missing Malaysian jet. Or trying to solve the riddle of "if less than half of the country's double decker bus fleet passed balance tests last year, why are 100% of the double decker buses still on the road?" Perhaps I should consult with Grasshopper.
With all the political upheaval in the past ?8? months or so (not to mention, the last 8 years!), does anyone know what we might expect next?
