USOTEL Waterpark

Post by parrot » May 25, 2014, 11:31 am

In the Thai tradition of a bbq chicken vendor on every corner and a coffee shop on every block, USOTEL Waterpark is coming soon.
From the map, looks to be just around the corner from the old Lotus.
Thanks to bobbi udn for the photo

Udon Thani the city of waterparks.
Udon Thani, best seen through your car's rear view mirror.

Yeh saw them lifting the big water slide into place about 2 weeks ago. Come out of old Tesco, turn left, you have to, first turning left, 500 yards on the left, wrinkly tin still up at the moment ( cant spell corrugated )

That won't stop them.....just look at some of the expected views from the condos under construction. Although I understand the warehouse next to the CP condo site on Srichomcheun went up in smoke yesterday.

Sakhon Nakhon Highway (about 20 km from Udon), Nakkaburi on Nongkhai Highway, Play Port between Big C and Global and a smaller one coming from Nong Khai to Udon on the left Meelan/Milan. Also another one about an hours drive away at Khon Khaen Zoo.

Convenient for me, and the seemingly never ending supply of nephews and nieces, but it's always nice to go and sit, drink a beer (or two) and watch the moms. ;)

Here's a photo of the Meelan Waterpark. It's about 14 kilometres from Udon on the Nong Khai to Udon Thani side of the highway. I went there for a meal and there was no entrance fee as we weren't going to use the swimming pool. The food and drink prices were very reasonable.

"USOTEL WATERLAND theme park will consist of three zones to meet the needs of the target groups of children aged under 13 years accompanied by a group of teenagers from 14-24 years, and adults 25 -. 45 years"

I see this on the website - the target age group appears to leave me a bit 'cattle trucked', no doubt the same as a lot of UM members.
