Google Earth Street View car in Udon

Saw the Google Earth "Street View" photo/mapping car in Udon by Nong Bua Market yesterday, Wednesday 01 October. If it goes down Soi Sampanit I'm sure he'll get some panoramic photos the the outside bars and patrons!

And the girls. More modest fellas should this week either be drinking and flirting inside or dressed in an appropriate disguise if seated outside.

Better get out those old Elvis costumes fellas. Santa Claus might even get caught by Google with a beer in hand and his arm around a smiling happy girl young enough to be his grand-daughter. I hope his reputation doesn't take too much of a whack.

I've been checking.. Finally Google Map has Udon partially mapped with Street View.. They must be linking the photo data bit-by-bit....

Do not think will ever see my Udon house on street view, we are so far away from main roads doubt they would take the time and maneuver through all the small roads to get to the end of the street where we have our house.

don't bet on it.. Check it out and you'll find that some of the roads that are photo-mapped are dead end one lane back alleys and some out near Non Soong partially developed dirt roads... We'll have to wait until they get it all linked into the maps.. Check Nong Khai or Khon Khaen which are pretty much complete and you'll see they seem to drive down even some of the smallest alleys.

The majority of Udon Thani and many surrounding areas are now mapped on Google Street View...

Did you notice that there is no one driving this vehicle as it moves around. All done by sat nav and over 1,200 sensing devices.

From a quick look, most of Phen and Nong Khai are also now on street view.

The googlemobile has also been sighted a couple of times rolling through Ban Dung, so I guess we must be coming up soon.
