Western Pub
The first country pub in Udon Thani; it has been open more than 29 years. We serve good Thai food, steak, and smooth beer. Every night you will meet Thai Elvis Presley and live music, our original country music atmosphere.

Our JO team is here every night to wait on you.

Open daily 5 pm. – 1 am.

The lead guitarist, is not the original one. Although good , last one was ACE!(Where did he go?)
I done a few turns there. Not been now for years.
They do all the popular songs we used to know
Not too loud and not just country music.
Yes a real good night out. Unfortunately, I like good drink and cant drive home.

Me also, and like Mortiboy, was guilty of trying to impersonate a singer; somewhat unsuccessfully, judging from the expressions of the unsuspecting patrons.
Seriously always enjoyed our nights out there, with a great bunch of musicians, reasonable food & reasonable prices. Must have a nostalgic night out there again soon.
One criticism is that the non stop , out of cadence, clapping of all the staff during every tune, used to drive me crazy. Particularly as, invariably, one of the girls would be parked immediately behind my chair, clapping into my ear. Apparently under instruction from the owner, at that time, which habit I hope has long since been abandoned. [-o<

Overdue visit by about 8 years now

,though mossies had a field day with me then,the music was good,some friends were staying at Napolai and did not like the mambo nightclub underneath

I was a regular patron back in the 1980's. Used to travel across town to pick up my Bangkok Post. Those days it didn't arrive in Udon until late afternoon early evening. By the time I got back home I knew how may G & T's I'd had by the number of swizzle sticks in my top pocket.

Friendly staff, excellent music, cold drinks, what more could you want? Parking in the Shell Station next door was not a problem either!

The Pub is demolished! New pub being built.BIB owner.Wether have live music again FK's!
Better establishment is Tha Naam Jam room. Farang R/B, Rock, Country music.
No hand clapping, and beside the lake Bahn Nong Bua .Just up the road from Big C
Next jam 15th Dec.1.00 to 5pm

Well funny as it seems, I am a member of the band.
Mostly a good crowd get in there.Seems no tossers that gives snide remarks

Just the sort I shy away from
