I was just trying out the go pro chest mount. I think you see more when I mount it on the mirror. Which way do you guys think it's better?

Nice clear picture. Having your windscreen in the center of the frame is a bit distracting. Mounting the camera on the mirror would make a better video.

given it would be a little more conspicuous :-k

That is the way it's turning out no windshield might be OK. I already have the mirror mount. I have tried the helmet mount problem is my head is moving around all the time. I'[m always h checking what going on around me. we are usually riding to fast to be rubber necking. I've used the chest mount on our 110 around town haven't got to check that yet. That will more then likely be OK.

While the windscreen is a distraction it is fairly minor.

The big plus to me is that, with the handlebars and controls being clearly visible in the lower field of vision, it provides more of the feel of being on a bike =D>

What would be an improvement to me would be if the sound of the engine were to be included with the music – however, I suspect that without some fairly comprehensive sound software it is either music or engine, not both.

Disgusted that the UK is “governed” by a squalid bunch of economically illiterate, self-serving, sleazy and corrupt neo-fascists.

This is with the same camera mounted on the mirror. When the camera is behind the wind shield you only pick up wind noise. On the mirror you get the engine sound. You can actually control the sound level of the music and the engine in Movie maker. Takes a lot of practice to get things right. The music comes from U tube so no cost there.

(If anyone is interested the blue and white Yamaha bike is a 1,000 CC with a book last I heard it was for sale for 80K baht. I've been on several rides where it was there seemed like a good bike )

I think I like this better thoughts gents?

Tried the camera on our 110, no windshield. But I have lost my touch on editing a bit longer then I wanted kick back and enjoy the music.

if its only motor bike touring then helmet mount is probably the best to capture what you look at.

chest mount is probably good for walking tours or shooting porn
