Israel - where from here?
This might help:

Assuming you are in Udon, Mecca is roughly W-N-W, but closer to W, you know, the direction you place your prayer rug.
Israel is about N-W of Mecca.
Hope that helps you get a bearing and an answer to "Israel - where from here".

OMG! - those "left wing islamic apologists" go to a lot of trouble to excite the Eolophus.

Well the honesty of 'apologists' was questioned ... Cannot allow the truth to be buried by squawks from the Galah-ble ...... Only took about 2 minutes to check.

It least now you know where israel is - has always been about NW of Mecca. No need to ask: israel - where from here?
Any idea why the islamic faithful talk like Ali G Comrade Mustapha?

Here's an upbeat article about civil society in Iran:
"Compared to other countries in the Middle East and North Africa, Iran is very modern. Literacy is at 97%, women outnumber men in university enrolment, and in spite of government censorship, internet and social media use in Iran remains high. Many Iranians have satellite dishes and tune into Sex and the City and MTV, as well as the latest BBC documentaries. Iranians as a whole are far more educated and informed about the west than we are about them. If you think of Iran as a medieval backwater, prepare for a shock."

Yes, the lunacy of some aspects of life in Iran and the Middle East is well known. The point not often mentioned here is that many many Muslims want the things other non-Muslim humans want - economic security, an education, a family, a good government etc.
The news cycle usually focuses on the nut jobs. I would think the majority of Iranians would want a government quite different from the one they have. The Iranian people aren't evil. Most Muslims like say most agnostics in western countries are decent folks.

There were probably hundreds of Christians and atheists convicted or sentenced in NZ on the same day. We don't generalize from that about Christians or atheists. Encouraging prejudice against people of Muslim faith is what the radicals want.
