Propane Gas tank

Post by das1922 » November 10, 2015, 5:18 pm

Greetings,
I am looking for one of the propane gas tanks found in a kitchen that has a spark arrestor. Does anyone know much about them and where I can purchase it?

They used to be about1500 baht about 2 years ago. Ask your neighbor who uses the service, they will be able to give you a phone number to call. DU

Propane Gas tank

I have had propane tanks for years here.
1 The tank is located outside the kitchen with a long pipe to the Gas Hob.
Two the requirement for a spark arrester is not needed as the tank is outside and it already has a valve on the top with the ability to remove any air in the system.

A point , I would NEVER have a tank inside a building at all, should it blow , outside it would damage the wall it was against t, but the major explosion would dissipate into the air and cause minimal damage if at all. The purchase of a long good quality pipe and a method of making a hole into the kitchen wall to facilitate this is simple and will make it safer for all.

Well said Paul, anyone having one of those tanks inside their kitchen must be mad, place outside with a hose through the wall the only way to go.

If you go to Global they sell the orange coloured hose with a black looks like tarry substance ( but it is solid on the inside, I had mine for 12 years just replaced same as it was starting to wear believe it or not. Also you will need a couple of cir-clips the ones you screw up to tighten to ensure your connections to the gauge and the hob are tight .

Thanks for the advice. You are definitely right about the tank in the house. I will check about getting it outside.
Thanks again!
