555. Yes, you'll be correct on that Aardy.

I think Sonny Bill should become a consultant to sportspeople on how to maximize their commercial potential. Even Warnie would listen to what Sonny has to say. Sonny is a genius. He might even be as kind as some of his actions appear.

I don't follow rugby closely but I think that was one of the best All Black teams ever. The Aussie side is also I think from a historical view very good. Ordinarily that Aussie side would be capable of winning a World Cup.

Rugby is slowly becoming less important in NZ - immigration, technological changes, more recreational choices, kids playing soccer etc. I welcome that.

NZ would have been quite, perhaps very, depressed if the Aussies had won. You read all that correctly Aardy. There was a lot to lose. The All Blacks would have copped a lot over here if they lost. It would have been far more OK if Scotland or Ireland had beaten them in the final but not Australia. That would be a bloody nightmare to most NZers - four years of sledging from the West Island.

NZ is about to get a gobful on the cricket. We need the rugby to dish it back although the netballers over-night gave us something to stir the Aussies up about. I fear that wicked poster Marjamlew is frothing at the bit like a Melbourne Cup winner to mention the cricket.

excellant game..aussie were worthy opponents..we dont honor them as worthy foe with the Ka Pao style haka at the start of the game for nothing..had it won in the first half, then a matter of trying to play the game in aussies half and stay in front..it was tough forward play by both sides..good ref as well, let the game flow...I so enjoy NZ/ Aus clashes whoever wins...top rugby..nice to share the night with a okkers at the Aussie Burgher Sports Bar..gracious in defeat...bring on our next encounter

Stuart Lancaster left his post as England head coach yesterday after the failings on the team at the RWC. Somehow I think others should look at themselves in the mirror pondering what could have been done better, namely players and selectors, and the Union's policy of not selecting players playing outside England.

Meanwhile a fairly long read on the contenders to succeed Lancaster.

Former Scotland Captain Andy Nicol has stated there may be departures from Edinburgh and Glasgow's players who played at the World Cup with bigger clubs tempting them away with better salaries and clubs buying them at a knock down price. David Denton the Edinburgh and Scotland back row has already signed for Bath.

European Rugby Champions and Challenge Cup full fiuxtures this week. Mostly are stupid o'clock kick off times (strangely there is even a match starting at 0800 hours match in France) late into the evening here. However probably the pick of the ties and with the best times are.

First and fourth fixtures both cancelled out of the respect of the victim's of the atrocities in Paris as well as security fears no doubt. Glasgow's away match to Racing Metro 92 was cancelled on Saturday

Tragic news. An All Black legend and gentleman sadly lost to the world at only 40 years old. Apparently related to the kidney disease he was diagnosed with leading to his early retirement some years ago.RIP.

At least Jonah, unlike the late Jerry Collins and fellow All Black, had the pleasure of seeing his country's team winning the recent World Cup and making history. Two greats of the game.
