NO greasing necessary, and to my knowledge / experience, only onE office in Udon expects greasing...........because people continue to do so..........go figure.
And yes, "1000 baht or something" like that, as just asked the wife, and arrived very fast, EMS.

Just making sure 12345 as the long haired one let slip that she had been "duped" a few weeks ago when she got a new ID card. Got Thai passports 2 months ago, a very efficient office and process, no palm greasing asked for or offered.

Extremely efficient and streamlined service. Sadly every office, worldwide doesn't operate the well. =D>
