The latest info from a local gun shop. Thais may still buy a weapon if a first time buyer. If you own a weapon you may not buy another.
A check at the gun club reveals a change in policy. Foreigners may no longer become member due to the rise in terrorist activity. If you are already a member you will be allowed to keep it and use the gun club. Not clear about a foreigner going to shoot with a Thai member but my understanding is, if you can demonstrate you understand gun safety you may be allowed to shoot. The range officer will make the determination. If interested your best bet is to check it out since things do change.

We were told that I cannot be a member but my wife, thai, can and I can use the range with her membership.
