Just a quick reminder Udon Thani as I haven't been particularly active over the past month !!

Pan Motors is a motor cycle shop/garage based in Kumphawapi. As a customer you have many shops to choose from so, why us?

- Our whole ethos is based on customer satisfaction. Our business has been here many years and, the loyalty of our past customers bears testament to that

- We speak excellent English and can guide you through the legalities etc on purchasing a bike

- There are no hidden extras on purchase and everything will be fully explained to you/your partner

- The proprietor has been in this business many years, our staff are motivated and courteous and our mechanics are second to none.

Yes we are 35km South of the centre of Udon but, surely a short enough trip to remove all doubts from such an important purchase!!

A Sponsors View

Post by panmotor » May 11, 2017, 1:39 pm

Other sponsors, wrongly in my opinion, seem to be getting in the neck at the moment. As its a quiet day on the site, a few thoughts on the Pan Motors thread so as not to sidetrack theirs

Our product is somewhat different to others but the principal is the same in that we set out what we offer and what we feel we are good at. After that it is up to you as customers to vote with your feet.

Our distinct advantage over other motor cycle shops is that we speak English and have a Western business philosophy of taking care of customers. Our prices are competitive but, not always the cheapest. They are, however, transparent. For me, that is worth a lot.

This is paraphrasing but, the sort of positive comments we have had from expats have included:-

- The original price kept increasing at another shop with add ons

- I never knew what insurance I had on my new bike until you explained it

- It was important to me to understand the instalment plan.

Taking the last one. This was an expat whose g/f had negotiated a deal in Thai at another shop and had increased it so that she could pocket the extra!!!

On the other side of the coin, we have had negative comments about:

- Our staff's inability to speak English when my wife is not about (quite true but she does take toilet breaks!!! You can call or email to ensure an English speaker is on site).

- A long trip to not save money (I have never said we are always the cheapest but, we try and we have had repeat falang customers from as far afield as Kalasin, Khon Kaen and Chaiyaphum)

- I wanted a big bike (We are a rural motorcycle shop selling bog standard bikes. We have contacts but don't specialise in big stuff)

As businesses, we don't always get it right but, personally, I applaud each and every expat out here who has had the balls to have a go. If we didn't we may as well all take Homer Simpsons advice to Bart

" You tried son and you failed. The moral of the story is never try"

Hi Mr Pan,

Do you do trade ins? I fancy a PCX 150 but would then have a 2010 Yamaha Mio that I wouldn't need any more.

Cheers.
Dean.

Scoopy

Post by panmotor » May 20, 2017, 1:24 pm

The Pan Motor Translator (PMT) is flying back to the UK again next week to attend to some personal issues. The flights were booked so that he could get back in time to watch Leeds United play in the Championship play off final next weekend.

Fortunately, Mrs Pan knows more about motor cycles than the PMT knows about football and speaks excellent Yorkshire English so, feel free to drop in any time to discuss your motorcycling needs.

Before jetting off, we thought Udon may be interested in this bike.

Its a Scoopy i 110CC just over a year old and used locally with less than 8500km on the clock. Our mechanics have looked it over and it is in great nick. A bargain at THB 33,500.

Pan Motors - we care for you and care for your motor cycle. Here to help.

Low mileage motorcycles - Bargains!!!

Post by panmotor » July 29, 2017, 2:41 pm

Its been a while but, another offer for you Udon!! We have been getting a few good 2nd hand bikes in lately and I will be highlighting them over the coming weeks.

A couple here which have low mileage so will go quickly.

This is a real bargain. A Zoomer X, 2013 with less than 8000km.The previous owner had been working out of the country so used rarely (but was maintained by family) Yours for THB 32,500.

This one is a Scoopy, again 2013, and this one with less than 6000km. Price THB 29,500. Similar story. This was owned by a regular customer of ours who went to Bangkok to work, returned and just part exchanged for a new model.

As always you can be assured that our bikes have been inspected by our qualified mechanics and come with all paperwork.

Nice looking bike..... But to be totally honest I would prefer an "Un-Reliable" bike for my mother-in-law... One with brakes that don’t work and a dripping carburetor... :-k Now that would be the perfect gift for Mothers Day!!! Got anything like that in stock...? :D
