Almost all the posts here are abot Car or Health insurance. What is th cost of House Insurance in Thailand - and what is usually ncluded as statndard? How does it compare to eg UK House Insurance cover? Thinking of House to be built approx 2.5m baht....need fire, flood (no history of flooding), burglary etc. cover. In Phakhaow province near Loei.

We've done business with MSIG in Bangkok for many years......back then, it was near impossible to find anyone in the local insurance offices who spoke English. We have house insurance, contents (limited) and have had worker's compensation insurance in the past. We filed one claim, completely through email, without a problem.
There are all sorts of exclusions, as you'd expect with most any insurance policy. You can call them and speak directly if you have questions.

House insurance here is not expensive but – as with other insurances in Thailand – can be a minefield.
As Parrot mentioned many policies have exclusions but we can offer not only ‘Comprehensive’ policies which cover all but all types from policies that offer Fire cover for wooden properties to simple ‘Contents’ policies for rental condos.
