Motor show.

Post by trubrit » November 15, 2017, 6:47 pm

Starting 17th, this coming friday until the 26th. A motor show is being held in the upstairs hall at the Center. Had a peek in today and there's some pretty impressive motors being displayed .

Ageing is a privilige denied to many .

Thought it was being held in the Old Tesco ........Where the tills used to be

Great Idea for a supermarket ..... cut down on stock quantity and variety and use the space to park a dozen cars and two or three tables for the staff to sit eating at .... 'kin t*ssers

Went to central yesterday. The cars are in the 4th floor hall. I was underwhelmed.

In the past the cars were out on the malls floor. Which somehow made it more exciting.

I did see a mini costing more than a Mercedes

".....I did see a mini costing more than a Mercedes"

Yes, I was at Nong Prajak a few weeks back, when half a dozen minis parked up, possibly for breakfast before off to a show or display somewhere. Looked smart, but guy reckoned around 2 million baht. :-s

Oh no. Let me guess, Statto. You drive a massive, black or copper colour pickup? ;)

Might go & see that. Amazes me how the Mini has progressed over the many years.

Had a white one in my yoot.

No, I wasn't driving too fast 'round an Oxfordshire country lane, when it slid off into a ditch. =D>

They're not so "Mini" anymore. The new ones are about the same size as my Dad's old family saloon back in the day

In the Siam Job, they had a gust of wind and it blew the bl**dy doors off ............. or was that when they replaced the bit of string they used to open the doors with in the early models :-k

They were also great for handbrake turns/slides when you got up a bit of speed.

The one my mate had couldn't do handbrake turns ........... didn't make any difference to the speed if the handbrake was on or off :-$

Couldn't get up a bit of speed as the window would shake open on its own if you did over 30mph

You're harsh. You miss the girls? Particularly the ones on the Nissan stand - saucy little minxes.

Sorry ... can't resist .. The girls are there to distract you from the cars

Whats the difference between a Nissan and a golf ball ?
A golf ball can be driven 300 yds

What do Nissan owners and a bottle of beer have in common?
Both empty from the neck upwards

Well there were about 6 people in the hall looking around with a Mitsubishi pretty on the pa. She was so loud u think she was heard in the food court. All the other sales people were sitting down on their phones.

Maybe I was there when everyone decided to have some well deserved down time
