A new 4-year visa for professionals, “Smart Visa”, has just been announced by the Thai Cabinet and is scheduled to begin in January 2018
details of eligibility and application procedures will be announced by the Prime Minister’s Delivery Unit shortly
Thats only 2 days time so yet again there’s nothing like leaving everything to the last minute
May the bridges I burn light the path in front of me

They say: "The Thai government hopes the new visa will enable knowledge transfer that will boost business growth and bring long-term economic benefits."
I say: if you invest your money and knowledge, it will be taken from you and given to a Thai National. Your loss.
The 10 yr Visa was all about locking a load of your money into Thai banks. If the banks froze Foreigners accounts, well, you can se the problem....I hope.
