Welding a DIY scroll saw

Post by Vincent1949 » January 5, 2018, 8:58 am

First of all a very good 2018 for everyone here.
I need a simple welding job to be done but never did this in my life............. Is there someone who can help me (can pay for it) or someone who knows an English speaking shop where I can get the help. There is a Russian YouTube that shows what I need. Please have a look at what I need at
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PBlsK76xRp4&t=25s the video shows very clear what I need regarding the welding. Any help would be appreciated very much.

Regards
Vincent

Hi Vincent,
If you want a quality and precise job, this machine isn't adapted. You can find quality machine in Alibaba website for a low price : Sanjian brand 120W 127mm industrial scroll saw. It's indicated you must order a lot of but I ordered one and they sent me ...

I watched a few arc welding videos on youtube, bought a machine, and gave it a try. How difficult could it be, right? Well, after burning holes in quite a few pieces of metal, and just having a bloody difficult time getting a good weld I pretty much gave up. If you are only doing a small job, and you don't have plans on doing much more in the future, I'd forego the purchase of a welder and just take the job to a Thai shop... so many around all over the place. Good luck.

Sorry, we moved to Sakon Nakhon quite a while ago. Should be somebody here on UM that can help on that front.
