City got off to a great start,scoring after only 2 minutes,and Liverpool were under the cosh for most of the first half.
There was a contentious moment just before half time when City had a goal ruled out for offside although it appeared Liverpools Milner had the last touch beforehand,so maybe a bit of luck for The Reds there......Guardiola went beserk and was sent to the stands.
But once Salah scored,on the hour,that meant City had to score 4 to win 5-1 and go through.That was never going to happen and Firmino added a second for Liverpool to make it a miserable night for the hosts.
So,3 defeats on the bounce for City with maybe a 4th coming up this weekend at The Spuds.....Guardiola under pressure and City a team in decline
never mind,Neil Warnock is waiting in the wings to take over next season !
