The Royal Wedding.

Post by vlad » May 21, 2018, 3:02 pm

Saturday was a proud day for us Brits watching our Prince marrying his own Princess with all the pomp and ceremony that only can be done as it should be. Even the weather played its part. Prince Harry was proud and rightly so to wear his full Guards uniform and as an active serving Soldier in the front line. His Princess was stunning also and as is Tradition her posy was laid to rest on the Unknown Soldier in Windsor Cathedral. All and all it was a great to be British.

My purpose was to comment on Prince Charles walking Megan down the aisle after she opted to go alone. I thought it was a most gracious touch and the whispered, "thank you pa" from the bridegroom was fitting.

I have removed posts which are racist, homophobic, etc. I have also removed posts which were little more than comments about other members. And I have, of course, removed posts and comments which could be interpreted to be insulting or derogatory to the Royal Family of Thailand or any of its members. Anyone responsible for such posts will be suspended or banned, consistent with long standing Udon Map policy.

I thought the spectacle was awesome and I really enjoyed it.

Good luck to the lovely couple.

I think the wedding was some great PR for Prince Charles. He made some smart, albeit scripted, moves.

These days the royal family seems to be functioning at a much smarter level than the British government although managing a wedding would be way easier than sorting Brexit.

Done and dusted Vlad? The media obsession with the lovely couple won't relent. The American angle was a very smart move. It widens the global Windsor brand even further.

We now have the honeymoon to look forward to.

There’s also the matter of guests now selling their goody bags on eBay. The audacity of some people

Gentlemen, this thread is about the Royal Wedding. It's not about what may be going on in NZ, other military actions, or what the Prince may have done in the past. It's about the wedding. Off-topic posts have been removed. Some of the posts you see have been edited to remove off-topic material.

Thanks!

What are the goody bags going for Nigglyb? The price of a car?

Well according to the highly believable tabloids they’re going for upwards of £20,000 but a quick search shows most listing like this or with bidding at less than £100 but not reached the reserve. I was actually surprised how many are listed :D

It seems they invited the wrong crowd to the wedding. If my father got invited, there's no way he'd have sold a goody bag. It would be his most cherished possession. There must be millions of poms such as KP who would be like that.
