Philips steam iron repairs

Post by tamada » June 14, 2018, 7:54 pm

Three year-old appliance that used to get regular de-scaling but that may have lapsed since our return to Udon. Anyway, the first reported symptoms were 'no steam' and then apparently it wasn't used for a few days. When I got around to checking it, it's not even heating and the de-scale program won't run. Going by Philips rather limited FAQ's online, the flashing light and no pump running indicates that the machine needs a 'pump reset' which is a simple power cycle... not making any difference this time unfortunately. There's a fair bit of gadgetry on small circuit boards inside the handle so reckon it needs a real tech.

So does anyone know of a good appliance repair shop in Udon? I know that Amorn underneath Big C has a repair shop but TBH, I have managed where their guys have failed before so looking for better, faster alternatives.

We’ve had a few problems with electrical bits lately and we’ve found that going to the manufacturers contact centres has been the best solution and to be fair quite inexpensive, might be worth a go.

The forest was shrinking daily but the trees kept voting for the axe as its handle was made of wood and they thought it was one of them.

Did some price checking yesterday and yes, they are only about £100.
