Euro exchange.
Euro exchange.
Due to unforeseen circumstances I have just returned from Europee with a large amount of Euros.
I plan to deposit in my Thai bank on Monday.
I just thought if anyone wanted to do an exchange and avoid bank fees there would be an opportunity to save the exchange fees.
I see UD quote 39THB -1Euro.
Not interested in haggling or negotiating , this is just a mutual opportunity.
Please PM if interested.

Re: Euro exchange.
UD rate was the rate shown on Udonmap yesterday. Now shown as 39.1.
Re: Euro exchange.
747man,the clue is in the topic title "Euro exchange".......
43.7 is the rate for the Pound Sterling.
39.1 is the rate for the Euro which is what this topic is about.
Just when I thought our chance had passed, you go and save the best for last.
Re: Euro exchange.
[rude/snarky personal comment removed by Mod], Then TRY Getting 39.1 for The Euro.....Even SUPERRICH are only giving 38.9....So IGNORE The rates on UM....Correct ??
Re: Euro exchange.
It doesnt matter what the rate is on Udon Map as Hunter58 is offering euros without the need for bank fees which should be to the benefit of the buyer, depending on what rate he asks.

Re: Euro exchange.
Not sure of the Bank Fees being talked about, do they charge a fee when depositing cash, Euro, into Thai bank account. If thats true then I would just exchange at normal booth into baht and deposit that into account.
Also the exchange rate shown on Udon Map is for currency traders not us poor people. While UD shows 39.1 for the Euro the actual best exchange rate I can find from Thai banks like Bangkok Bank is 38.4 so anyone wanting to do the exchange is better off using the bank note rate not what's shown on UD

Re: Euro exchange.
Yes, And also note that The Superrich Shop in Nong Khai is NOT The same as www.superrichthailand.com....The one in Nong Khai has it headquaters in Chang Mai & is a smaller concern,Hence they give a lesser rate of 15 Satang to the GBP....Udon Map wrote: ↑July 23, 2018, 7:53 amRemember that Superrich exchange rates can be slightly different at different branches.kopkei wrote: ↑July 23, 2018, 7:24 amyou can compare ratings here https://www.superrichthailand.com/#!/en

Re: Euro exchange.
Take a look at the buying and the selling price and there is one of the possible fees. The euro spread can be as low as 10 stang (green superrich head office) or as high as 94.6 stang (Kasakorn)
Exchange half way between the 2 the seller gets more Baht for the €uros, the buyer pays less Baht for the €uros.
Does that explain one of "the Bank Fees being talked about"?

In my posts all fees and requirements are the standard R&R but TIT and a brown envelope can make incredible changes YMMV.
