Pharmacy...comparison shopping made easy

If you do a fair amount of pharmacy shopping....whether for medicine or other things....you can do some easy comparison shopping on the ground floor of Central. Boots, Watsons, and P&F pharmacies are within meters of each other (near the foodcourt). Just a sample of a few things.....
Cellufresh MD eyedrops....20 Baht cheaper at P&F; a skin cream (for our daughter) 35 Baht cheaper at P&F.
Although I like and occasionally still use the pharmacies on Makkaeng Rd, I like the idea that the products in pharmacies like Tesco and Central are air conditioned.

Unrelated to the topic but available at P&F Pharmacy....for those whose bad breath might have a hint of fecal odor.......there's Wasabi Mouthspray.

and, for the most part, medicines over in Thailand are far cheaper than back Stateside. Ventolin asthma inhalers for about $8 versus $50 Stateside, Serentide asthma powder inhaler (Exact Advair equivalent) about 1,000 baht at Boot's and $70 co-pay (actual price $140) Stateside for both of which which you must add the price of a Doc to get a prescription.

For those who need a large number of pharma items, you can do some quick comparison shopping on the ground floor of Central Mall........3 pharmacies almost next to each other. There's quite a difference in prices.......with the smaller pharmacy coming in cheaper on most identical items. Added bonus.....all the items are maintained in air conditioned surroundings.

Yes, unrelated to the topic but OT knows of someone who defiantly needs something to sort out his verbal fecal odour.
Though OT has never met the person himself.

P&F Pharmacy is who I use and recommend

As I have said for years and Parrot repeated , Temps do affect many medications , its why non air con Pharmacies are cheaper.

Halitosis is generally not something you wish to discuss on first dates.

Halitosis can be disguised temporarily by stuffing mints into your mouth or doing that spray thing from time, however none of this will work if you are suffering from verbal diarrhea, for that you have to just shut your gob :-#
OT knows of someone who suffers from this.

And this has been one of my concerns in the past. It is more important for certain drugs than others. My pharmacist in America told me to discard nitro pills 6 months after opening the bottle and exposing to air and humidity, regardless of the expiration date. This is a medication that's only needed in an emergency, and you would certainly want it to be effective when needed. Almost all drugs have storage recommendations that are exceeded in a normal Thai summer day however, but when it comes to an extra pinch on the wallet many of us overlook this fact.
Every day I wake up is a good day.

wholesale drug store on ring road just before Global House. It has about everything. If you're buying controlled meds they'll want you to have your passport. If the Thai spouse is buying her ID card. It looks to be a hole in the wall but actually is two shophouses wide. Located here: https://www.google.com/maps/@17.4268225 ... 312!8i6656

as mentioned in my former post here on this topic...
clopidogrel , or plavix 14 pill pack 1.300 baht, expensive , but thai generic apolet 30 pack ...600 baht
lorazepam -diazepam ...,all ending pam is normally valium and many shops are asking prescriptions ,
if you are using this for problems sleeping there is a cheap thai alternative (no prescription needed)called tripta (amitriptyline) in 10 and 25 mg , i take sometimes a half of 10mg and sleep well ...all this will be variable from person to person ..10mg will cost 0,20 baht /pill or 1 baht a pill if you buy them on a strip of 10 called polytanol...
medication not changed price much the last 3 years ,some things are even cheaper... ;)
