MicroSnot's fates for us in 2019.

Post by fredwilliams » December 19, 2018, 9:20 am

What is going to happen to all these machines in schools here?

Most of them are still running Windows 7 and Office 365!

They’ll continue on 365 I guess, Microsoft are still supporting it until at least 2025

Doesn't it melt down machines running Win 7?

Remember Windows XP? There are still some people using that version. If you don't like Windows, there are hundreds of Linux versions that are still free. You always have a choice. As for myself, I'll be staying with the latest Windows 10 on my every day desk top machine. Time moves on whether we like it or not. I do have Linux on a laptop and an old HP netbook. Both work OK if you have some patience.

ADDED - I forgot about Apple if you want to pay the HUGE premium. LOL!

That's me!!! My desktop runs XP-SP3 with MS Office 2000 sitting on top of it = solid and unbreakable.

OK, running W8.1 on my notebook (4yo) and never had a problem with that either. Both systems networked together and happily talking to each other.

Windows 10 (free) for 3+ years. Zero problems. No hints of virus, malicious software, ads using the Windows 10 security system and nothing else. Over 25 updates since June 2018 installed without a problem. I've used windows since there were windows......10 is the best, by far!
