Bayrack was 50/50. You wouldn't know it based on his rhetoric.

THE BILL IS GARBAGE
The spending bill includes:

- $1.3 billion for 55 miles of steel bollard fencing

- An expansion of Catch and Release

- A potential doubling of the annual low-skilled foreign workers imported to the U.S.

- Less detention space for border crossers

- An amnesty pipeline for Unaccompanied Alien Children (UAC) and their relatives

- Stipulations requiring local officials to approve all wall construction

- Chokeholds on immigration enforcement at the border and in the interior

Republicans need their heads examined for agreeing to this crap.

I get all my taxes back, every year for the past 10 -- it's just a few hundred bucks.

I paid LESS tax this year and my refund was, by the exact same margin, (you guessed it) LESS.
And, no, I didn't get a tax reduction under Trump. Fairly difficult to reduce from zero.

Are libs really this stupid?

You'd have to be embarrassed to identify as a Democrat these days.
They are against everything that makes America solid, strong and proud.

Disgusting creatures.

Yes, and unfortunately, some average patriotic Americans don't understand their own tax status.

I had a hunch when I first saw the post in this thread blaming Trump for a smaller refund that it had to have something to do with their withholding. 55555 But rather than jump the gun, like so many brigadiers are apt to do, I waited to see what would come of it. Sure enough, in about a few days time, the cause was revealed.

Anyone who knows anything about their personal income taxes and has prepared their taxes, should know what statuses they have that affect their deductions and refunds. For those who got less of a refund and are complaining, they don't understand that if their refund had been larger, they would have been giving the federal government an interest-free loan last year.

I'd still prefer to pay a "Fair" or "Flat" tax instead of this progressive no-equal-protection-under-the-law federal income tax.

The change in their view came after DHS released new numbers showing that over 200,000 illegals entered the US between October and January. That is an 84% increase compared to the 109,000 arrests during the same period the previous year.

Telemundo broadcast exerpt:
JOSÉ DÍAZ-BALART, ANCHOR, TELEMUNDO: If the trend continues at this rate, the year 2019 would be the year with more entries of immigrants since 2007. So that we understand: in the last four months immigration authorities detained about 200,000 immigrants at the border, which means a rise of 84 percent over the same period of the previous year which ended with the detention of 109,000 persons. By applying this rise to the whole year, the number of detainees in this 2019 would reach 730,000, which is a historical figure since the great crisis of 2007 and that somehow highlights the immigration policies of President Donald Trump.
They could have just ignored it and not reported on it at all -- like the US EneMedia.

For all of those ignorant of the immediate political past. I remember it like it was yesterday. Bayrack telling us, "I have a pen and a phone."

I guess besides that magic wand, Trump has a pen and a phone too.

At this point, it couldn't have been better if Trump had picked out the Dem challengers himself. All extreme in their philosophies in so many areas.

The Democrat Party can't compare to Republicans in their programs and policies in almost any way.

The Democrats today are not the party of JFK.

"The UK and the U.S., as you have probably seen, we are going ahead to preserve our trade agreement. You know all of the situation with respect to Brexit, the complexity and problems, but we have a very good trading relationship with the UK and that’s just been strengthened further.

"So with the UK we’re continuing our trade, and we are going to actually be increasing it very substantially as time goes by. We expect that the UK will be very, very substantially increased as it relates to trade with the United States. The relationship there is very good."

David Marcus writes:
The jobs were already coming, so why not take the opportunity to stick your finger in the eye of the big, mean, nasty corporation? Today, all that changed. She fished what she wished and Amazon decided not to bring tens of thousands of jobs to New York City after all. Today, her effective opposition to the deal is a much different story, one in which she has to defend creating less opportunity for working New Yorkers.
Oc-Co Loco tried to score political points for socialism with no intention to kill off thousands of jobs. But she didn't anticipate other socialists joining the fight and creating a political firestorm against Amazon. Well, they killed the deal, and she helped kill 25,000 jobs that her voters wanted.

Even Governor Cuomo of NY is blaming her.

This is why I always say that LIBs are the undisputed Champions of Unintended Consequences.

Democrats always seem to forget about the magic of video tape.

BEFORE TRUMP, they sounded just like Trump. But now they don't only BECAUSE TRUMP.

According to Trump Campaign officials, attendees sign in and list their party affiliation and demographics. Their information is matched against voter registration rolls.

The Latino population is huge in that part of Texas. Those numbers don't surprise me.
