I have never seen either marine or waterproof plywood locally. You may find it in Bangkok.

Plywood cut to size?

Post by Barney » February 23, 2019, 11:08 am

I was in Dohome on the Nong khai road last week looking for wall or ceiling paneling and they had stacks of sheets of all types of timber ply. Turn to the right as you pass through the registers.
Certain they had the marine style but I was not specifically looking for that.
Getting it cut is another issue. I’m sure there are some woodworking places to be found.
I’ll assuming you want the timber to be exposed to the elements on a full time basis.
It’s normally the glue in the sheet that is waterproof and stops the ply from separating overtime. Hence being used in concrete form work.
Good luck on the search

Getting sheets cut the way you want them is not easy - I bought an electric saw and did it myself, not expensive
I was born with nothing and still have most of it left

Not as easy as I first thought it would be
First I have to find the right kind of plywood, then get it home and cut it
Will have to borrow a truck to carry it & after a lifetime working with steel, just don't feel confident working with wood tools! & chopping it up
Thanks for the replies...................... =D>

Maybe i can help.
i return on wednesday and have a big bed table saw that will easily cope. If you give me an idea what you are using it for i can advise what sheets may be best add a couple of sheets extra to my delivery and cut to more manageable size.
Cheers
