The real horror is that anyone still buys into such anachronistic nonsense.

Phew. I'm grateful the first name wasn't Jughead. I hope it wasn't a close call.

Archie has already done three of the things on my bucket list in the last two days
1) become a millionaire
2) meet the Queen
3) nuzzle Meghan’s boobies

He's also met the Duke and Prince Charles. Meeting those two gentlemen isn't on your bucket list? Meeting them isn't on my bucket list. Not that I really have one.

With no disrespect - I'm thinking there were sighs of relief all round that Archie was not a "throw back".

Archie, Harry's son. I wonder if that was an intended pun?

Blimey. We're on the slippery slope now. Perhaps he should have been Archibald rather than Archie and folks might be a bit less casual.

a BBC dj has been sacked for his tweet ..dumb and dumber .

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-48212693

The BBC has sacked Danny Baker, saying he showed a "serious error of judgement" over his tweet about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's baby.

The tweet, which he later deleted but which has been circulated on social media, showed an image of a couple holding hands with a chimpanzee dressed in clothes with the caption: "Royal Baby leaves hospital".

The BBC 5 Live presenter was accused of mocking the duchess's racial heritage.

Baker claimed it was a "stupid gag".

The 61-year-old presented a Saturday morning show on the network.

The corporation said Baker's tweet "goes against the values we as a station aim to embody".

Any joke, slight or jocular reference to the kid being ginger would never be met with such radical and swift repercussions. It seems to me you simply can't make a joke about certain races. They can't handle it -- they've redefined "inappropriate speech" and demand others follow their strict dictate. Meanwhile, the self-loathing, hair-twirling do-goodeers are only to happy to commence self-flagellation in an unconvincing demonstration of their adherence.

Funny old world.

I hope FATBOB doesn't work for the BBC.
