Great season on Merseyside .. with both Liverpool and Tranmere Rovers tasted the sweet smell of success its just perenial underachievers Everton letting the scousers down ... alas being a relegated Scunny fan im quite used to underachieving.

Well done to Salford city as well .. opps sorry wrong thread .

i think Tranmere would be a better option, still not far to commute a higher standard of football in a better stadium at a more ambitious better run club

I'd nearly go for that. Only 9 points in it at the end of the season. Everton wont get much in the summer. The usual trawl of the bargain basements, Del Boy Silva wheeling and dealing wanting players and cash to try put together some sort of team to climb the table to 7th next year.

And a big and if Ashley sells the toon prospective buyers have much more cash would be great for the fans and results would be expected.

"BREAKING NEWS

Everton appoint Luis Boa Morte as assistant manager."

At least they have someone there now to take over when Silva get the elbow in October

Normally after a takeover they go looking for a new coach, like Gary Megson but the Toon have Rafa so that's step one out of the way.

Jose Mourinho has told friends he would seriously consider managing Newcastle and is open to talks with the club's potential new owner Sheikh Khaled bin Zayed Al Nehayan. (Sunday Mirror) Good luck on that front Statts
