Don't overlook he's also good at photographing sex workers. Not many could put that on their CV.

Less flippantly, I think he would have a good set of skills for setting up or running another business in Thailand.

Stickman has been a friend for many years. We're pleased that he has decided to join the Udon Map family, as you can see from the banner on the home page, and has chosen UM as the only website that he's working with up here. From time to time, we hope to bring you special features related to this one man Bangkok institution, including interviews and commentary from Stick himself! For now, enjoy this new and easy way to access to his weekly column.

Interestingly, Stick interviewed Miss Udon in 2007. Here's a link: https://www.stickmanbangkok.com/weekly- ... -in-focus/.

The link to Stickman works. In the 7 July column Stickman observes:

"When I first moved to Thailand, conversation about anything to do with life between the sheets was avoided. In the space of a generation that has all changed. Sexual innuendo is quite common in Thailand these days and it’s hardly unusual to overhear Thai women talking about topics you never heard them talk about previously. On that note, the banana and ice-cream dish photographed above was served to a female friend in Bangkok this week and is a sign of the times. No way would it have been presented like this in the past."

The photo of the banana and ice-cream dish is extraordinary.

Agreed ! A little fun and light hearted banter is much better than the malicious, sniping and nasty personal threads of recent threads.

Man, can't wait to read up on "the industry" as seen from a knowledgeable "insider" who spent years "learning the ropes" and can tell all of us "clueless first-timers" how its done. It'll be just like 1999, and 2000, and 2001, and 2002, and 2003 ...

Here's a paragraph from this week's Stickman column:

"For the daring, current reports have it that Soi Nana is crawling with friendly, accommodating ladies. 1,500 baht seems to be the going rate and 1,000 baht may be possible. Bargain. That’s about as cheap as you can reasonably expect prices to be on Sukhumvit."

I think the Map's association with Bangkok's salacious columnist is going to be quite entertaining.
