Seems he had a few chances to walk away. Being pissed tends to cloud the judgement. :(

The big eye don't lie. He definitely had chances to walk away.

I don't see sticks with nails either.

I can see the shirtless guy with what appears to be a stick at 2.50.

Nails, you can't tell.

Gee,they gave him a nice little touch up.
Why would you hang out with a bunch of locals of that calibre?

They attack in packs, like the soi dogs they observe, when growing up. Why on earth would anyone mess with a Thai????

Just my 2 cents:

General Rules (especially here in Thailand):
1. Never get into a fight, bend over backwards (not in a perverted way) to prevent an altercation.
2. If forced into a fight, it's kill or be killed.

Video Notes:
1. definitely a stick being used at the end of the video.
2. Thais love to kick a guy once he's down, thus GR #2. Guy had 2 or more chances to make it a 1 on 1 fight, but he let the stick / head kick guy recover. If he'd of taken out that guy, most likely the fight would of been over..........as it would of then been down to a fair fight.
3. Video justifies the kill or be killed rule (IMHO), as any of those later leg kicks/hits with the stick could of killed him.

Haven't been in a real fight since I was 16 years old, but I live by both GR's.

Could nitpick some more, but just figured I'd toss this out there.

from what i can see on the video ....bar area? drunk people? , looks like a fight between drunks , falang thinking he is bigger stronger than the small Thais ...could have walked away many times but this was no option in his falang thinking way , got punished for it ...my wife said lucky for him they did not have a knife or gun ...
btw where were the other falangs on the video to help ?(talking of cowards?), so my opinion based on the video , fight between drunks and falang getting a beating due to not letting go ,with the known result ....
in Thais called somnamnaa.... ;)

That's a strange comment.
All the advice here says to stay out of fights with Thai's.
Even you suggest to walk away.
Now you're telling other Falang strangers, to step in and risk the same treatment?????

Not me.
Don't feel sorry for him one bit.
Only got himself to blame

Not all farangs are violent in nature. Dont mean they are cowards!I certainly would not wade in!
They were all drunk and in fighting mood! Call the police only option .
But police would be on Thai side anyway.
What is wrong is farang held in prison! Where are the others?

Some who is fluent in Thai watched the video with me and said that the police officer is saying that they arrested three of the Thais involved and are holding them.

Spot on Mick.
I can handle myself but would never fight with a Thai in the Soi.
Get in the ring.
It's just plain lunacy to think you would be the victor.
As many of us here in Thailand I have witnessed winners of the battles but not the wars.

The 'victim' was rat-arsed as you can see by his flailing arms, lucky hits and tripping over his own feet. Yes, he decked maybe a couple early on but he stuck around instead of leaving.

Still a muppet.
