My favorite soup slup shop was closed today so I stopped at a nearby restaurant, immediately next to the mosque on SriChomCheun Rd. If your sinuses need cleaning, it's a good place for a plate of basil beef over rice. Your nose will start to clear while the ladies are cooking the food. It's a light lunch.....35 Baht, but you could always order a double.
I thought this was a calendar hanging next to my table. It is, in a sort of way. But upon closer inspection, it tells so much more. Years ago when I was there, one of the staff told me stories of him playing guitar in the NCO club during GI daze. Not a classy kind of place, but I've never left unsatisfied.
