I'm still of the opinion that eventually the vast majority of the population will have been exposed. Lock downs and other controls merely slow the spread and keep the hospitals from being overwhelmed. It's doubtful that any effective vaccine will be developed. There is no vaccine for the common cold and although vaccines have been developed for the flu, they quickly quit working because the virus constantly mutates. Our own bodies are the main protection we have.
Totally agree , the point is slowing it will save lives . therapies are the best hope but it seems the virus does strange things . One doctor pointed out every case seems to need different treatments .what we really need to know is if people that catch it and don't produce antibodies in enough quantities ,will they be protected ? And if it will become endemic. . If it does then we have big issues as we could all catch it every year, it might not kill you the first time or even the second time but eventually it will kill you . If it goes that way in 5 years there will be no one left over the age of 60. That's a grim thought .
On a positive note, if that does happen we won't have to worry about pension deficits, and the higher taxes needed to cover them.

It is, but, as I've said before, if mother nature deems that there are too many humans on the planet, or any other species for that matter, she will resolve the situation, one way or another, and not necessarily how any of us would like it to be done.

We are part of nature, so that is out of our hands.

Mother nature also gave us a good brain, we should use it

Some people believe, we did use our brain, to create this virus in the first place, so we may have screwed ourselves.

What on earth is the point of quoting stats from one county (3143 counties in the US) when Whist was talking about the country?
As for the date of reporting one would have to pose that question to the owners of the 2 sites corona.help and worldmeters
I posted the stat for Harris County to indicate that indeed whoever compiles the stats at those two websites are maybe missing something when they say that there's no new cases in the U.S. Houston is in one of 8* identified new U.S. state hot spots and sits squarely inside Harris County (and bits of Fort Bend). Maybe they're ignoring the other seven as well? My mate works part-time with a Houston area emergency service and he says it's full-on madness right now.

* Texas, North and South Carolina, California, Oregon, Arkansas, Mississippi and Utah.

In actuality, the numbers have been increasing in up to 26 states.

Maybe better not to quote corona.help and worldmeters any more if they're ignoring published statistics and world time zones.

I have found the most accurate stats appear to be from the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control, country by country, day by day reported cases and deaths. Like all sites, it relies on authorities in each country to report, that can be an issue, but overall it is a good source.

Trump found out that Russia was paying bounties to have American soldiers killed in Afghanistan.

Then he called on Russia to be readmitted to the G7.

Basically every country knows they can kick America around and Trump will either do nothing or reward them.

Trump loves the military, Really!!!!...LOL....he could care less about US troops lives, blood on his hands, but his supporters love him.

Geeze you are being hard on a true patriot. He served his country by having bad feet, he now protects his country by looking after affairs of state from a secure bunker.

There are tears in my eyes as I proclaim 'He has made America Grate again'

I am a bit confused - you have said above that he does care, but then that he has blood on his hands.

What do you actually mean?

It’s called sarcasm.

Trump would not think twice about sacrificing US troops, if it helped his re-election, and this recent revelation proves this point.

Bunker Boy is too weak to be president. He won't even stand up to Putin when Putin is trying to kill Americans. The US needs a more gutsy president who'll do this:

One thing that is glaring obvious, anything that may assist in the current President of the United States re-election is considered good, anything bad is ignored or in some cases recieve3s spiteful and often untrue tweets about the incident or the people involved.
Dopes not matter one jot if the information or news considered good, harms the American people or its allies , good is acceptable and doing business with other world leaders even if their CV is at times suspect is also considered acceptable to POTUS . Regardless of what his advisors say or do. Any detraction from that aim runs contrary to his goals.

All I can say is Americans deserve the president they have, he didn't hide the fact that he was an immoral sleaze before being elected. Only morons would elect an openly corrupt person, and expect different results.

I think you should do a little research on Uncle Joe's family finances during the time he was vice president. If Biden is elected it will be a vote for anyone EXCEPT Trump. I have no idea who his running mate will be but you can bet it will be a flaming socialist who will likely become president when Sleepy Joe cashes in his chips. How do career politicians get so wealthy? Politics is a dirty business. Have you noticed that the media has given Uncle Joe a pass on his sleazy activities?

Mr Glat, have a second cup and wake up to 2020. Most ( if not all ) all politicans are in for the dough, and we all know that it does matter on which side of the aisle they sit. From Nixon, to Clinton, Cheeny, Biden, Trump etc...
Maybe you should check the Foxnews once in a while to see, that they have on a daily basis, few articles praising Trump's administration and few articles denigrating the oppostion, a lot of Biden coverage. Maybe you can drop your empty retoric FLAMING SOCIALIST, this is passé - meaningless propaganda, What about the Brainless endangering thousands of prople at rallies for the sake of his reelection ??? Biden s money vs people health - life, which one make more sense ?
The house is on fire and the Brainless keep talking about his travel plans. Criminal behaviour.
The number of covid cases should be making the front pae on all newspapers, this is a National Emergency,
Newspapers, tv stations should replace the stock market ticker with a 24 hrs non-stop COVID sticker.
How is the coffee this morning ? Have a safe pleasant day.

What about the democrats condoning hundreds of thousands of people protesting and rioting, disregarding Covid distancing and protection rules, for their election????

Also, destruction of private and public property and killing people.
That's OK, is it?
You got a funny way of looking at things

Open your eyes pal 8-[

Two sides to every story

Mick.. Yes you are right two sides to every story, BUT there is only one President who should lead by example.
Citing one side of the story does not in anyway mean that you are ignoring the other side....Have a safe pleasant day.
