Tottenham are in advanced negotiations with Paulo Fonseca after the former Roma manager was identified as the club’s preferred option to succeed José Mourinho.

The 48-year-old Portuguese, who left Roma in May and was replaced by Mourinho, is understood to have held talks with the Spurs hierarchy about a three-year contract having been recommended by the club’s new director of football, Fabio Paratici. Fonseca is believed to be open to moving to north London having previously managed Shakhtar Donetsk in Ukraine for three years before moving to the Stadio Olimpico in 2019.
Roma reached the semi finals of the Europa League last season but were beaten 8-5 on aggregate by Manchester United, including a 6-2 thrashing at Old Trafford.(The Guardian)

Rafa Benitez is the new manager at Everton... a bit of a controversial move by owner Moshiri.
Nuno Espirito Santo is the new boss at the Spuds.
Patrick Viera looking likely to take over at Crystal Palace.

That's more of a smile than most have when joining Everton.

RAFA's career showing a bit of a decline doesn't it ........

Real Madrid
then down to Newcastle
then down to Dallian Pro
now all the way down to Everton

At least he will have Rodreguez James to talk to in the Madrid injury facility ...... and Gareth Bale ..... and Eden Hazard

Just a thought, given so many pundits (rather than experts) rate him so highly, why doesnt Brucie Cabbage Face ever get talked about for these jobs?

Seems like an ideal landing place for Rafa, second thoughts, he'd be expected to live at home WITH his family

If Viera goes to Palace that will leave only two relegation places to fill \:D/

No chance he will go to Scunthorpe ............. how does the MASH theme go ..... "suicide is painless"

Many many toon fans breathing a massive sigh of relief this morning

Rafa's first job a Goodison ........ tie a rope round Lucas Digne's legs to make shore he doesn't go beyond the half way line :-"

Second job ........ sell DCL and buy three more centre halfs .......... pointless having players you dont intend using until 85th minute (and even then only if you are still within a goal or two)

Euromillions every Tuesday & Friday.

AND, yes, us Brits can still play even though we’ve Brexited

^ aah, young Statts, that’s where you’re wrong. If you took time to peer around your blinkers, you’d notice someone in the UK, from the UK, playing in the UK & claimed the prize in the UK, won over 100m GBP on Euromillions in April which unless I’m very much mistaken was after Brexiting (& during Boris’s tenure as PM)

So, what’s next week numbers going to be?

The only upside is the dullards with the stunted vocabulary and no social skills that used to pollute these threads with their childish comments and boring memes and emoticons every time he posted have largely buggered off as well.

(you know who you are)

Thanks 747man!
