Toyota showcased its new portable hydrogen cartridges at the Japan Mobility Show Bizweek 2024. These compact cartridges can power cars, indoor and outdoor appliances, and fuel-cell tools. Designed for convenience, they resemble large batteries with handles and can be carried by hand or stored in a backpack.
Toyota also demonstrated a hydrogen-powered cooker developed with Rinnai Corporation, highlighting plans to integrate hydrogen technology into future products to reduce carbon emissions.

I am surprised that there are not more accidents with compressed fuels. CNG, Hydrogen and even LPG are explosive and highly pressurized. I don't like the idea of riding around in a potential bomb. Diesel is the safest, best most efficient fuel available. We need more research on how to clean up the emissions. Electric is also fairly safe and clean.

Statistics, adjusted for the number of vehicles of each type, indicate that there's a far higher incidence of ICE-related fires than EV-related ones.
