Interesting article.. I figure if they say 10-15% it is more like 25%.

The comment below from a Phuket official :-

“Things will get better after the last body has been recovered and handed back to the family,” he added.

Sometimes, most times with Thai officials, better to keep your mouth shut.

It ll won't make much difference to tourism.theres enough Chinese to send a million a week for the next 25 years and they are just sheep.come a few weeks and all will be back to normal.baht will stay where it is and road carnage will carry on as normal.i see when I first came after the tsunami everything was going better than ever.in fact it promoted Thailand and got me on a plane here.
