Garage that can fix steering lock problem

My brother-in-law's 4 year old Toyota pickup has a problem with the steering wheel lock being very difficult to unlock after inserting the key. I have tried it with the usual jiggling of the steering wheel while trying to turn the key and it's very hard. There's no "give" or "play" in the action and from experience, this is either a very badly worn mechanism or it's possibly broken. The WD-40 trick and waiting 20 minutes didn't make it easier.

He wasted time at Toyota (out of warranty) so looking for recommended local garages that can probably sort this out without a major hassle and cost.

Worth a try!!! I had the same problem but my Isuzu is 24 years old, Tried the backup key, a new one I had cut a few years back, worked a treat and no probs since.
