Excellent post semperfiguy that is very well said. As an atheist, I did not agree with his religious views; nevertheless, I respect him for his right to free speech and his attempts to debate people openly. It was nice to see how young conservatives viewed him as a trusted ally who could discuss issues with the leftists on campus. He seemed like a very pleasant man who certainly did not deserve to die this way at this time.

If I am so upset with a friend, that I no longer wish to be their friend, I simply stop being their friend. End of. Asking them to no longer be my friend doesn't make sense to me. Isn't that the same as asking their permission to be allowed to ignore them?

In hindsight, maybe this "unfriend me" is the preferred method of those besotted or confused by the fake friends and heart emojis that FB and social media conjures up?

On topic: Nobody needs to be killed just because you don't like what they say or do, not Charlie Kirk and certainly not Donald Trump. If you must, save that bullet for Vladimir Putin.

As for the reason why Charlie focussed on the student youth, to me the answer is quite obvious. The students and youth are the future of humanity and civilization, not the geriatrics and misanthropes that seem hell bent on controlling everything while simultaneously destroying everyone's future.

As usual, this was taken out of context. What he actually said and implied was this:

“I think it’s worth to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the Second Amendment to protect our other God-given rights.” ([Wikipedia][1]) What he was trying to say was that legal guns in the right hands of the public, including the civil authorities, are necessary to PROTECT our other God-given rights. Sometimes it's necessary for law abiding citizens with legal guns to kill when their life, limb and property need to be protected. That is totally different from the misapplied quote. Now, what he said makes sense.....correct?

My Theory on why he shot Kirk:
22 year old, attended college for a short period, above average intelligence and living at home. Can you imagine how crazy you'd get watching your mom and dad everyday buying Trump and Kirk's twists on life and truth. You spend hours debating them at the dinner table, showing them facts and maybe even the Constitution to no avail. Seeing my family going down the rabbit hole (Tamada, reference) I gotta do something. Thus, shooting Kirk!!!!
