Few more shocks in the Cup last night.
I have a feeling that a change of name has not made the competition much more attractive to many teams with other fish to fry.. :D

Out side the EPL the weekends most high profile fixture has to be SCUNTHORPE UTD away at Port Vale ... heres hoping the Iron can keep their impressive start to the season going , usually a happy hunting ground for Scunny tho Vale have started the new campaign in decent form so anything could happen ...

NEWSFLASH ......Scunthorpe reject Ballotelli plea to join club siting his application to become the new programme seller on gate 17 was all spelt wrong .

Elsewhere ..nothing really matters ..go on then

The Robins take on the railwaymen in League 2 and the once great n mighty now minnows Leeds Utd are away at Notts Forest city ground ...should be another busy day for Robert the flapper oh my God head shaking Green

YES VERY TRUE ..BUT it was in the tin pot trophy... marketh my words young man The Toffees will be pleased to win owt this year ... best players hairdoo , most expensive pie , smallest away following , best behaved turnstile operator , softest seats in dugout are about all they can realistically go for ......ohyeah forgot they could well WIN relegation

LEEDS DEAL CLOSE

Sky sources understand Leeds are close to agreeing a deal with Roma to sign Italy U17 player Dario Meadows.

Gary Monk has said in his press conference that he is only interested in signing players who will strengthen the first XI .......... when quizzed about the rumours linking Leeds with Halifax Town u10 centre back Shorty Slowcoach Monk revealed that that one was "almost over the line"

Our owner, Massimo, using his influence to bring in young world beaters from the Italian league. Went well last time with Adryan (who??).

Shorty Slowcoach might be a better bet. With that name he is probably the son of Mickey Quinn (Newcastle legend apparently!!).

As for your comments about Rob Green Jon... Was going to respond by taking the p*** out of Scunnys keeper but, having looked up his name on t'internet, I have forgotten it again #householdname!!

Ladbrokes Scottish Premiership

Kilmarnock 1-1 Rangers
Rangers top of the SPL !!
Mind you they have played 2 games more than second placed Celtic & are only their by 2 points..
The draw was a struggle for them & the home side had far better of the first half when they went 1 up. However Killie had a man sent off & a great free kick by James Tavernier drew the visitors level.
Kilmarnock remain in 8th. place with 4 points from 4 games.
Lee Clark's side are the new kids on the block of the SPL in every way though.
4 of last nights' side were under 20 & another 3 under 21. 6 on the bench were also under 21.
I hope the giving youngsters a chance works out for them - Rangers have rather gone down the experience route.. :D

Are you refering to the mention to Mr Green ive highlighted in my earlier post above ..

Save you looking it up the Scunny keepers are Luke Daniels and Joe Anyon ... unlike Rob Green neither have had to bend down n pick ball oot of net too often so far this season ... and pleased they seem not to have adopted the Green fumble where a tame shot from the opposing defender is miss handled and slips thru Greens legs ...YOU KNOW HIS SIGNATURE MOVE .

The seasons biggest crowd expected at ----- rd today ...... no not the footy team they are away ..theres a chubby Brown concert on

UP THE IRON .....you know it makes sense !!!

Maybe we should sign Mr Anyon. With Green and Anyon, we could play Booker T and the MGs at every home game. If anyone knows what I am talking about, you are either older than 70 or a pop music buff!

I am with you on Rob Green though but the jury's still out at ----- Road.

Wishing Scunny all the best today but only 'cos I have money on Port Vale to be relegated this year!

Im sure the ALE is better than the watching VALE ... tho a draw is on the cards .. 1-1 my prediction

The old owner of Left Bank was Tony Crossley a good friend of mine , we used to frequent Rubys as well Toyah Wilcox and John Peel amongst others were regulars , Tony retired to Pattaya many years ago now a writer and has had quite a few books published i believe..

Are you in Stoke ? .. if so enjoy the game Val , fancy a pint on the score ??

Scunny win [-o< you get me a pint at our place next time u are in Udon
Vale win :-# i get you a pint at the Tap next time you are here ..
DRAW ... I HAVE A PINT HERE , YOU HAVE A PINT THERE AND CALL IT EVEN
