My suggestion is a place on Sai- Utit Rd, the road connecting Phosi Rd and Prajaksilapakom, which has the access to the Central Bus Station and would lead you through the front doors of Central, if you carried on over the lights. Coming from Posri, it's about 100m on the left. Doesn't look much, more a stall than a proper shop, but they have done very good jobs for me with shoes, backpacks and even a tent.
