Windows 11 is a do everything for everyone even if you don''t want it to. I like Windows 10 better. Reminds me of my hated iPhone.
Got to agree. My "new" laptop is W11 and after migrating happily from DOS through all Windows iterations, I dislike the "we know better" feeling W11 confers.

Re: Windows 11

Just replaced my i5 mini ATX that cost around 13k THB to assemble in 2011 with a 10 year-old Lenovo N700 tiny i5 desktop for 3800 baht from the chap in Tukcom. Came with W10, Office and Adobe stuff activated plus some other handy utils. No junk so obviously a corporate buyback/ refurb. I replaced th...

It's interesting that Big Joke's early patron was General Prawit.

Could be that's why the former deputy police chief is now being treated like a leper?

Re: Scottish Football (Soccer)

Sadly, Dundee United were held to a 0-0 draw with Airdrieonians. Our Scottish correspondent doesnt appear to have his finger on the pulse of Scottish soccer. Far from "sadly", the Terrors confirmed their return to the top flight of Scottish football with the draw. Yes, but the Tangerines should hav...

Ill assume the braless socks and sandals brigade are crowding out the coffee shops in the mall. Free AC. It was obvious the locals didn't give a care about their general health and went hard over Songkran, we have had at 2 or 3 a dayheat affected directly after Songkran with the ambulance called ou...

Re: Israel under attack from hamas, war declared.

During the course of the Gaza war, hundreds of journalists, aid workers, rescue staff and paramedics have been killed by the IDF. And now mass graves are being found with hundreds of bodies, some with hands bound and evidence of execution. Not exactly what you expect from an army capable of very se...

Re: Udon Thani to Nam Som (Sam Liam)

I know a few years back, they banned tuk tuk's from entering the airport. Not sure if that's changed but it's not a terribly long hike from the terminal to the main road... unless its hot like right now!

Re: You gotta be joking

From 1999 to 2017, the Landmine Monitor has recorded over 120,000 casualties from mines, IEDs and explosive remnants of war; it estimates that another 1,000 per year go unrecorded. The estimate for all time is over half a million. In 2017, at least 2,793 were killed and 4,431 injured. 87% of the ca...

Meanwhile, back on topic, the linked articles refer to the very recent reports that Prawit's latest declared assets of around THB 87 million, revealed by the NACC, includes luxury cars, real estate, land and a healthy bank account? But only one (1) watch.

Re: HEAT STROKE

Another thing that can help us stay active through the heat is pre-hydration. Don't wait until you're hot and thirsty before you re-hydrate. Think of your body as an old, leaky car radiator that needs topping up on road trips.

NB: Chang isn't a good coolant.

Re: Windows 11

Good deal indeed, well done.

Maybe uninstall any of the programs you won't need? There's no way of knowing if the reseller used hacked versions to install them. W11's native Defender (?) antivirus should be sufficient to keep it clean.
