My experience at The Clock was , I sat at the bar, I said hello to a farang lady who apparently was management and attempted to chat but was ignored. I then tried to joke with the attractive young ladies but they preferred to talk to each other, albeit about me. So I paid for my small beer, 65baht ...

Aussie Pub has just had a recent addition to their menu, this includes steak pies and sausage rolls fresh from the shores of Oz. In my opinion Oz does the best pies around, they are full of meat with lot's of gravy and a crispy crust, great eaten Oz style with ketchup on the top. The sausage rolls a...

Any ideas how the application process for the 30 baht health care thing works? The guy I know who has the card also has a work permit, I don't think he was really supposed to be allowed one but for some reason he was given it. Maybe it comes with a work permit but I very much doubt it! Sorry I can'...

Runaway groom

Runaway groom Many are the tales of the foreign man who comes to Thailand, falls in love with a Thai woman and ends up destitute and deserted. But according to an August 4 report, an elderly American man has turned the tables by sweet-talking his way into the lives of at least two Thai women with ta...

That hotel has been for sale for quite some time. I think it looks more like a house/guest house rather than a hotel. But I guess that hotel sounds better LOL!

I would strongly advise medical insurance for anyone living in Thailand. My uncle had a serious fall from a ladder and suffered fatal blow to the head which placed him in a coma for a long period of time. After my uncle passed away at 62 years of age, with limited treatment at the hospital due to la...

I noticed that Steve (former owner of Steves Bar) has a picture of a little blue tablet on his website www.stevesudon.com

It might be worth making enquiries there?

Same with men who come here and want to be gay - with millions of gorgeous girls everywhere you look. Just can't understand it.!! Horses for courses I guess but I know which course I'd choose and it's certainly not the meat and two veg variety. LOL! However there have been girls that aren't quite 1...

HBOS Online savings account has a 5% gross interest rate and I think there are a few more banks offering the same rate, however most of these rates are offered to paper free online card-less accounts, but you have the option to move your money around at the push of a button where ever you are in the...

I see what you're saying Paul.

Tony, you paint such a lovely picture of London, maybe you should work for the London tourist board? LOL
I think what you're saying would apply to most of the UK too! And that's why 1,000's leave each year in search of a better life and existance.

Yep, 7 hours all the way to the beach in Pattaya stopping once for a quick bite to eat, speed between 110-120 km/h.

The road is pretty good appart from the Khon Kaen to Khorat stretch.

I wouldn't hesitate to do the journey again by car, quite pleasent.

be careful out there, is some people's eyes, the accident is already your fault, even if not drinking. That's why it pays to get the best insurance possible then if the unfortunate happens the insurance company will get to the bottom of the case to find out who's wrong or right. However if you have...

Holiday in Pattaya & Double Pricing

My gf and I have just recently returned from a pleasant trip to Pattaya albeit very expensive. The journey down took just 7 hours and about 70% of the road was very good which made driving very easy. Holidaying in Pattaya is not cheap, however accommodation was very reasonable, we booked into a nice...
