Do Inuit have a wife exchange?

One particular aspect that has garnered attention is the practice of wife exchange among Inuit husbands. This custom, which may seem unfamiliar to outsiders, is deeply rooted in the cultural and historical context of Inuit communities.

According to a study done by Federico Formenti, University of Oxford, and Alberto Minetti, University of Milan, Finns were the first to develop ice skates some 5,000 years ago from animal bones. This was important for the Finnish populations to save energy in harsh winter conditions when hunting in Finnish Lakeland. It was also important for the Finnish people to invent ice skates as Finland has about 187,888 lakes. In the olden days, the villages used to get separated by lakes, to go between lakes the Finnish people had two options first to go around the lake and second to find a way through the slippery surface of the lakes. The earliest known skate to use a metal blade was found in Fennoscandia and was dated to 200 AD, and was fitted with a thin strip of copper folded and attached to the underside of a leather shoe.

That's a piddly number of lakes, Doodoo. Try these,
Canada contains more than 2 million lakes of all sizes. Each Canadian lake brings its share of surprises. Some of them are isolated enough to be accessible only by hiking the dense trails through the jungle. These blue and green hued bodies of water are often surrounded by lush forests and rugged mountains.
However, the Finns outdid the indigenous people of the future British North America by finding a way to skate across frozen bodies of water.
They’re chugging along on skates constructed from horse and cow bones, the oldest of which date to approximately 1800 BCE. Developed in Scandinavia, the earliest skaters pierced a hole through the bone and fitted them with leather straps. But they weren’t trying to nail the quadruple jump; the bones skates were an efficient means of transport along the many rivers and canals that run through the region.

Reconstruction of ~1800 BC bone skate.
Unlike today’s skates, the bone skates had no sharp edge, and were flat and slippery on the bottom. That meant that, unlike what we do today, skaters couldn’t push with their legs—instead, they stabbed a stick into the ground between their legs to push themselves along. This made turns particularly challenging, as skaters had to slow down and push sideways with the stick. But once they pushed off, it was smooth skating. In addition to being durable, Formenti explains, bones were naturally one of the best materials for skates because they contain fat. The oily nature of the surface in contact with the ice reduces the coefficient of friction and allows them to glide more effortlessly across the surface. “It’s fun, because you wouldn’t expect to move so smoothly and so quickly in a straight line without moving your legs,” says Formenti. “It’s entirely different from using metal blades.”

THE BICYCLE

The first means of transport making use of two wheels arranged consecutively, and thus the archetype of the bicycle, was the German draisine dating back to 1817. The term bicycle was coined in France in the 1860s, and the descriptive title "penny farthing", used to describe an "ordinary bicycle", is a 19th-century term.

MONARCH BUTTERFLY MIGRATION
This happens across all the USA and Mexico. Butterflies migrate in huge packs and traveling around 2,500 miles to the forests of central Mexico where they hibernate, watching this strange thing in real life is a one of a kind experience.

It happens in the Great White North too, Doodoo.
Each fall, Monarch butterflies from Canada travel approximately 4,000 kilometers to Mexico. This fall migration is an incredible phenomenon. Since they cannot survive the cold winters of Canada, they fly to the Oyamel Fir Forests of Central Mexico where they will live for about six months
Hope this helps,

You could have fooled me Doodoo since the title reads, 'MONARCH BUTTERFLY MIGRATION', no? I mean what's the point of talking about the migration if you leave a key component out that's important to the monarch butterfly? What do you think?

Hope this clarifies things for you.

The title should have read in your mind
Monarch Butterfly D. plexippus, described by Linnaeus in 1758, is the species known most commonly as the monarch butterfly of North America. Its range actually extends worldwide, including Hawaii, Australia, New Zealand, Spain, and the Pacific Islands.
But once again the article I posted was only concerning USA and Mexico If you want to ad other areas start your own.

Out of curiosity, is there video of this alleged incident or are you just jumping to your own conclusion based on what the police are claiming?
