A bit of nice news about the Good Corner Restaurant.

I went there two weeks ago for breakfast, placed my order and promptly served coffee and orange juice. After 25 minutes, no breakfast and I was meeting somebody so could not wait. Went to counter, said no breakfast and asked how much for the coffee & OJ as I has to go. No shrugging of shoulders, wait staff were horrified they had forgotten order, coffee and OJ were free.

They made a mistake but were so genuine in acknowledging that. Well done.
I had a bumper sticker in Texas that read 'Beam me up Scotty'. I often wish I could find one in Udon Thani

It’s definitely not called The Corner Restaurant nor Good Corner :(

Hopefully ergman has sufficient information to now find his way to Steve's current business, despite confusing google searches from Doodoo, and equally confusing free cups of coffee and juice from Whistles.

To get the proper location one needs the proper information
So, Jacksquat why don't you take a crack at pinpointing it on Google Map

No need to, Doods ....... noos and tamada have already nailed it days ago - I guess by using superior google skills.

In case you are wondering, it is the old gym premises.

I guess the issue with THIS thread is the OP incorrectly naming the business in question. It is on a corner and back then probably had no name.

Only the OP or a Mod can change the thread title. If this is possible, how about "Steve & Mali's' Bar & Restaurant" just in case someone else called Steve has a bar and restaurant (and you know they do). But AFAIK, there's only ONE Steve and Mali in the trade.

That OK Doodoo?

Any resident of UDON who is a foreigner and enjoys partaking of STEVE and MALIS fare will find it. It has changed its name since it opened to more correctly state the owner and its wares which are for consumption.
As usual mine host is as friendly as ever as is his darling wife of longstanding .
Main ingreditents are there as before, good seating, pleasant atmosphere and excellent food , srved normally promptly and with a smile plus it will not break the bank The choice is always excellent and can be tweaked for a discerning customer

Visited today with my son. Had a very nice couple of meals there and pleasantly greeted by steve and his wife.

Well worth a visit - you know exactly what you’re gonna get at Steve’s restaurants and will return

We're here at the new bar from Mali and Steve called the Corner Restaurant, just a few doors down from where the Tbar was. The first impression of the bar is great, it's a huge bar with lots of seating that's well spread apart so it feels extremely roomy, to be honest I think the bar front itself is a bit small with only room for four people, going by what we've seen in the past that's not going to be anywhere near enough. All in all this is a great start, we need a decent farang bar and this will fit the bill nicely.

Just for the record, there is an opening night celebration this evening where free food will be offered.
Do you have any photos or videos of the atmosphere there?

Their Facebook page has some pictures. Atmosphere is quiet and friendly.
