Kellogs cereal

Post by stattointhailand » June 25, 2023, 5:28 pm

Just returned from local 7/11 where I noticed that all the Kellogs Cereal brands have increased by about 9 - 10%.
B11 boxes now B12 and B27 packs now B30. Other brands remain same Milo B10 Copp B20
Might be worth a trip to Tesco/Big C to stock up at old prices if you like cereal every day

Could it be related to the large price rises in sugar - given how much of it is in virtually every Kellogs product?

Time to change to Jok like the locals do.

I gave up on Cornflakes in Thailand because the b'stards at big C kept moving them every time I went to buy them. Which was only about twice a year :-s

Except Special K which is now better value due to the higher prices on the sugary derivatives.

Crushed Cornflakes still make the best crunchy coating for Onion Rings

I remember trying Special K about 25/30 years ago .......... took one mouthful ...........was within a hairs breath of throwing up and consigned the rest of the packet to the bin. Just thinking about it makes me want to heave :-&

DM enjoys cereals everyday ..corn flakes , SpK, Allbran or rice krispies .. chuck some fruit in and wallop a great starter followed by COLD toast n Lurpak butter.

My fav brekie other than a proper English fry up has to be poached or smoked salmon on toast with black pepper n maybe a poached hegg on top.

That's totally loonie .......... if the toast is cold the butter doesnt sink in.
Like all these hotels etc who have a "full english" and bring the toast to the table at the same time as the bacon/egg/sausage etc ......... by the time you finish the main course the bloody toast is cold. If the bread comes at the same time make it a fried slice placed under the egg/beans/tomato/mushrooms

Kellog's corn flakes?? Tastes like cardboard. Tried it, couldn't stomach them.. Now, Nestle's corn flakes are much tastier. Giant Econo pack 10 years ago at Makro was 95 Baht.. Now about 115 baht or so.. A bit higher in Big C although not always stocked..
